Taking today OFF

I woke up and felt pretty great, tired, but my legs didn't hurt like I thought they would. However, once I started walking around getting the boys ready for school, my shins started really hurting. REALLY hurting. I can barely lift my feet off the floor. So, I am taking today off, no leg work. I am thinking about doing some ab work though, THAT should be fun. LOL

I decided to change my workout playlist a bit. I found something that zune doesnt have better than itunes, can you believe that? I didn't even know itunes could do this till yesterday, but apparently you can put breaks into your music. I love my 5K podcast, I love that it tells you when to start, your halfway, and when to stop, but the music has got to go. So, I changed my music order around so that it is roughly the coreect times for this week. It really isnt though since there are no 90 second songs, but I will survive with what I have. I will try it tomorrow. On a flat piece of land! LOL

Did anyone watch Oprah yesterday? Scary. You don't even want to know what is going on with our meat. I did some research trying to find some local farmers around here, that doesnt feed their cows, pigs, chickens, etc antibiotics and lets them eat grass, or the proper diets, and there aren't too many. Sad. I think I am going to check out Earthfare this weekend. We may need to cut some stuff out of our lives to pay for it but I am determined to make sure Ron and my kids eat healthier.

Glad you like the itunes feature I told you about! It's great. Although I too did move a longer song around in my playlist to meet the 5 minutes stretch to hear a whole song!

I also have reduced how much meat we eat and I want to check out whole foods - but it's 25 min. away and our normal store is 2 minutes so I have yet to get there but that being said we rarely eat red meat. We eats lots of chicken I make all different things and then lots of veggie meals too. Good luck with your quest to find better alternatives.

Actually Wendy, the chicken freaked me out the most. Our farmers are doing some terrible things to chickens. yuck.
