SO, why am I telling you this story? Because 4 years later my neighbors from up there, who I considered wonderful friends, came back into my life. Their second oldest child had decided to go to school down here and amazingly enough, his school was only 4 miles from my house. Now, I was never really close with Justin except for the fact that he and his younger brother used to cut our lawn for us. However, with him attending school here, he became part of our family. We all loved him especially our dog Eddie, and we loved having him here. He spent his Thanksgiving holiday living with us, and he was a lot of fun to be around (except that I had to make green bean casserole...gross).
(If you don't think that everything happens for a reason, and that God doesn't have a plan for everyone, ask me to tell you more about this story.)
Anyway, Justin was suppose to fly back here today, and stay with us a couple days and then drive his car back home, which he left here over Christmas break. Only, he was taken to the ER in DE this morning at 4 am, and he had his appendix out. Poor guy. So, he gets to spend the night in the hospital, and will be coming here to pick up his car at a later date.
So, I had to make a card for him, but masculine cards are almost impossible for me to make. I have the greatest get well stamps, but it is of a girl, and I just couldn't use that for Justin, so here is what I made him...
Stamps: SU Itty Bitty Backgrounds, Katie & Co get well soon
Paper: SU Sahara sand, creamy caramel, white

It's perfect! I have that bandaid stamp too that I actually use as the background sometimes on plain paper. Either stamped in blue on white paper, or embossed with clear powder, or use Versamark to make it a watermark effect all over the card. Just some thoughts - but I think yours came out great!
