But this time I am determined. I have some personal reasons for doing this but I am determined to work out again and I am doing it right this time.
Today I walked 3.1 miles. It was hell because I live in Knoxville and the summers here are very humid, and I decided it would be a good idea to do this at 1:00. I did 2 laps (each lap is one mile) and I desperately needed to stop. I sat in my car for about 2 minutes and drank half my water bottle. I totally could have drank the whole thing, 30 ounces, but I knew I would need more when I finished and I was determined to do the 3 laps, so I got out and did the last mile. It was hard, but when I got into my car after I felt awesome. (Side note, thank God for whoever invented remote start. As soon as I got close enough I hit the remote start and my car was nice and cool for me.)
Tomorrow I am going to do some strength training. I am taking a break from looking some ideas up online right now but that is the plan for tomorrow. I think push ups will be involved, which I hate but they need to be done.
On top of working out, I am making sure we all eat healthier. I am disgusted by all the crap that is in our food, GMO's for example, so I am shopping only for items that are GMO free. Other countries have banned crap like this and you can buy the same food there that is GMO free, so why do we allow it here? It's disgusting. Anyway, lots of veggies will be in my diet now and I am trying to limit meats and carbs as best as I can.
Water. I am drinking lots of water. I hate drinking water, so this is probably the hardest part for me. I have 2 different sizes of water bottles and I am trying to drink 2 of each of them every day. So far this hasn't been easy, I started the water drinking at the beginning of this week and at my best I have had 3 bottles. I generally averaged about 2. Today I am almost at my goal, but it helped that I worked out.
So, there you have it. Since I have been drinking more water and been watching what I eat I have lost 7 lbs. I have a long way to go but I am happy with my choices so far.
