Evan got glasses

I took him Friday to get his eyes checked, but I was fairly certain he needed glasses. When they called his name and had him read the chart, it was confirmed. I had no idea what he was reading he was so off on the letters.

It turns out he is near sighted, like his mother, and the Dr was actually surprised he hadn't complained about his sight a year ago. Great.

We hung out at the mall while they were doing his glasses which was enjoyable, Friday night every teen is at the mall. We ate dinner then walked around a little. When we got back to the eye place and he tried on the glasses he was amazed at what he could see.

As we walked outside to the car he said, "wow, I can't believe all that I can see." He asked if I would turn on the movie in the car to see if there was a difference there too, and couldn't believe it. It took Evan some time to understand the concept of what the glasses were doing for him.

Once we got almost home Evan said, "Wow, glasses are going to change my life." LOL I had to make sure he meant for the good.

Aww that is so cute!! Love it, I am sure he looks adorable too. I did not need glasses until I got to college and I remember walking out of the dr office that day and being totally amazed at how the world looked now. I am just waiting for the day one of mine will need them too!
