It is finally almost here. This Thursday my friends from Buffalo are coming!!! It has felt like this is taken forever to get here. I am so excited!!! But, now I have a lot to do.
Yesterday I shampoo'd the carpets in Lea and Evan's room, and that was scary, but at least Mary and Heidi have very clean rooms to sleep in on Thursday night.
This week I need to make cinnamon rolls, brownies and chocolate cake. The chocolate cake will wait till Thursday, but I really need to make the cinnamon rolls today, and the brownies, I guess Wed. Then Friday we are going to go shopping so we can buy groceries, and then off to the mountains!
SO, how has the summer been going so far? I can describe it in one word...LONG!
We have been having some major storms here, almost every day, which is not good. And then, even when it isn't raining, everything is soaked outside, because the rain we have been getting is in crazy amounts!
I have been taking the kids to the movies each week, not really sure if I can swing this week, we shall see, and they have liked that, and this past Saturday I took the boys to see Night at the Museum 2 and Ron took Lea shopping. The boys liked the movie and were amazed when I told them my sisters live near all thsoe museums they showed. Too funny. Next trip to NoVa...museum sight seeing!
There has been a lot of fighting going on and it is starting to make me insane! Lea and Evan just don't know how to get along. UGH.
I also got some very very sad news on Saturday. A family from Andrew and Evan's old school had a tragedy happen Friday, their mother passed away. And what makes it worse is that she was pregnant. Now 5 kids and a husband mourn the loss of a mother/wife and a new sibling/child. I have been thinking about this family all weekend. My prayers go out to this family. She would have been 44 this August. Life is too short.
On that sad note...I am hoping to blog more this week, but I can't promise anything.
