Evan

I am not sure if I mentioned this here but a couple months ago Evan had his hearing tested at school and they sent a letter home saying he would need to be retested; and he was. Another letter was sent home, this time in the mail, saying he has hearing loss in his left ear. Great.

So, as a somewhat rational parent I flipped out a bit.

I got a call from the head audiologist and she told me that it was the very high frequency sounds that he couldn't hear and that we should take him to his pediatrician and then we would more then likely be sent to an ENT specialist.

This morning Evan had his 6 year well check, and he is healthy and great. So I mention the hearing issue and had the dr the letter I was sent. He has Evan go with the nurse and have it tested in the office.

He passed the high frequency but now he isn't hearing at the level above that.

Great. The Dr. suggests we do an ear wash, which was not pleasant for Evan to say the least, and then re-check.

2 hours after we got to the appointment, he passed, and can hear fine in both ears. Thank God.

That's great news!! I love it when the solution is somewhat simple :)
