I am sorry I haven't been around much, I have a ton on my plate.
We had the PTO chili cook off on the 30th. It ended up going well, from what I hear, so that was great, but that was a lot of work, considering I had no idea what went on at past chili cook offs. We had 3 radio DJ's and a news anchor, and then we had a manager from a Food City as judges. It was fun meeting all of them.
The one morning DJ actually did a phone prank on our school secretary 10 years ago. When I mentioned it she laughed hysterically and told me that trampoline lady was her all time favorite. The next morning the morning show replayed the phone phunny. It was hilarious. Yesterday I got a copy of it so I have it to torture our secretary forever.
The next day was halloween. Ron ended up taking the kids around the neighborhood. Andrew was the black Spiderman, Evan was Superman and Lea, of course was Dora. (I would post pictures but that takes too much time, that I don't have right now, so you will have to wait for those.)
Next PTO function was collecting all the Box Tops and Campbells labels. The school has done this in the past but nothing was really pushed so this quarter we collected 3172 box tops. Can you believe that? At $.10 a box top, that is great news for the school.
Then, our PTO fundraiser ended, and WE MET OUR GOAL!!! I am soooo excited. I was really not thinking we would so this is amazing!
Tomorrow I am having my heart surgery. I am a little nervous, it is surgery afterall, but it will be fine.
I will post more, I promise. I am done with PTO for a little bit. :)
