I am so tired. After all the stuff I made yesterday, and then the Pinewood Derby today, I am beat, and my legs are killing me.
Thursday I made 2 batches of sugar cookie dough to make the cub scout emblem cookies. Ron told me 60 cookies, I was 9 short, so yesterday I needed to make more. Man. I made 2 more batches and I made Easter cut-outs along with 4 cookies on sticks for my nephew.
Since the Tigers were in charge of lunch today Ron decided we should make these car sandwiches for lunch, so he told the other 3 parents just to give him money and he would buy and make everything, which really meant, he would buy everything and I would make most of it. I did get a lot of compliments on both the cookies and the sandwiches, but I never want to make these again.
Ron and I were up last night putting the holes in the rolls, making the sloppy joe, slicing cucumbers and black olives so that today we could just assemble them. While Ron was checking in all the cars, I was in the kitchen at the school assembling cars. Thank goodness Mark was there to help me. I give him a hard time, and mostly he deserves it, but he was a HUGE help to me today, in fact, all but Nathan, who was racing in the derby, were God sends today. Justin kept an eye on Lea and Evan for me, Lea loves Justin, and Michelle helped finish the sandwiches and then more importantly went to have a few drinks with me after. LOL I love that family.
Now, I can finally tell you about something I made a couple weeks ago. (This is not the other news I can't share yet though, next week hopefully) Like I said above, I give Mark a hard time a lot but this time this was good. EVERY. SINGLE. WEEK Mark asks Michelle if the boys have a den meeting, and rightfully so it drives Michelle crazy. Awhile back there was no meeting but Michelle was there with her son because Mark said there was. This is what she has to deal with, come on women, you know you can all relate. Well a couple weeks ago there was no meeting but her and Ron (NOT ME) schemed and sent Mark an email asking if he remembered about the meeting that night. Of course he didn't and everyone got a good laugh. Then it was taken to the next level....
I want to say, even though Mark does not believe me, and would I lie on my blog? that I had nothing to do with this either. I was asked to make it, thats it. So I did.
Isn't it cute? LOL Ron presented it to Mark today at the Derby and it was hilarious. Mark had no idea what was going on until he saw me taking pictures of him. LOL I will pay dearly for this, I am sure, but I just want to say again, I had nothing to do with this.
Here is Andrew's car.

All I can say is you are a saint for doing all those cookies and sandwiches!!! You most certainly deserved some drinks with a friend after that ;-) They all looked great!
