Woohoo

For the last month or so Lea has been showing signs that it was time to start the potty training cycle. However, I was not ready for all the time I needed to put into this so I kept putting it off. Well, today I started. I let her go without a diaper today and put her on the potty every 30 minutes, all while I was trying to clean the house. I was in Andrew's room cleaning when she started crying, so I wisked her upstairs, sat her on the potty and she went! WOOHOO.

Of course I know this really means nothing but I am excited. This was her first time going on the potty so I was thrilled that she now gets it a little more. She also did not want me to put a diaper on her at naptime, so again, good sign.

The hard part? The girl doesn't talk. LOL I am in no hurry for her to talk either but it makes it difficult for her to let me know she needs to go. It's ok. I will survive.

Tonight Andrew's friend is spending the night. Andrew is soooooo excited. Hence the cleaning of his room. My child is unbelievable by the way. I will not go any further in an explanation...sorry.

Evan is home again today. Why? Because he refused to get out of the car this morning because today was a church day. Ron got pissed and brought him home and he has been in his room all day. It's killing him but I will bet he won't try this again, in the near future anyway. Hopefully he will just take a nap too.

Ok, Jen. I have been reading your blog for a while now and haven't really found the right time to contact you. That is until I got a sign... I had the same experience as you today, only mine did not end so well. I, too, tried to potty train my daughter, who will be two on March 6th, today. Only she wet through the only two pair of training pants I have. I proceeded to put her back in her diaper and go to Target to get more undies. Better luck for me tomorrow!
